Rival Watch: Port Melbourne

Port Melbourne have struggled this season to put it lightly, they are also due a win. The team has scored 5 goals in their last 3 games, coming close to wins against both Altona and Heidelberg.

Their knockout in the cup to Goulburn was an upset, but since then the Sharks have parted ways with their coach John Markovski, and are due a new coach bounce. They are at the bottom of the table for now, but just a couple of results away from climbing out.

They have this week appointed Maxim Gaydovskiy as their new Head Coach.

Formerly at Zenit St Petersburg, Max was part of the team for 8 consecutive UEFA Champions League and Europa League campaigns.

More recently, Max was First Assistant at Preston Lions, and Head Coach U21s with Heidelberg United. He holds a UEFA A Licence from Scottish FA.
