So after writing and scrapping a few blogs this week I convinced myself to have another go. I decided to try write monthly reviews and as such I began my disjointed research mission scanning NPL Victoria websites and OFC Pro League websites to weave together a story… however a curious thought interrupted my research process…

Was what I thought of possible? No it’s never happened before. But maybe this year? No, even the other reliable alternatives have never been so ambitious. But you know what…. Maybe I’ll just have a look. So I sought an answer to my question – was there a single place to capture SMFC season statistics – live?

Historically that was always hard enough with the NPL which typically only had league wide summaries, but now that we are in the OPL even the semi-updated sources were a mess as you would only find data on one league or another. But then a hero emerged… Kezfooty – a Wellington Phoenix fan from New Zealand had put together and appeared to be actively updating a 2026 SMFC Season Wikipedia page! Thanks heaps Kezfooty!
