South face Heidelberg in an always highly anticipated clash at Lakeside Stadium. Unlike the same fixture last year through… things are very different this time around!

The last time South played Heidelberg in the League at Lakeside, Hellas were walloped 3-0 and were coached by the soon exited Estaban Quintas, how things change!

This time it is the Bergers under pressures. Alexander have been in a horrible run of form recently, having been knocked out of the Australian Cup by North Sunshine and now facing elimination from the NPL finals placings.

The Bergers have dropped out of the top six and will be desperate for a result today to keep their finals hopes alive.

They face a rampant South Melbourne who, fan favourite Sinisa Cohadzic, has coached into strong form. However, with a huge Australia Cup game against Preston coming up, and finals already secured for Hellas, the question becomes… will South rest players against a desperate and capable Heidelberg?
