In June South Melbourne’s women’s program saw the official opening of their new facilities at Albert Park. The purpose built temporary facilites are part of the ongoing works for the Albert Park Pit Building redevelopemtn which is being conducted for the F1.

This development was welcomed by the club who will now enjoy a modern and upgraded space for their programs in the near future.

Other local clubs also received new facilites with Middle Park Soccer club and the Powerhouse Rugby Union club accomodated with similar temporary infrastrtcure.

The use of Albert Park for community programs is always closely watched and a challenging workflow to manage. We hope that the new facilites enhance South’s ability to enjoy its spiritual home.
